We are seeking a dynamic and experienced New Product Development Manager
to lead New Product Development & Strategic Procurement initiatives. This role combines process leadership, strategic thinking, and operational excellence to deliver value, manage supplier requirements, and support business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Supply Chain, Project Analysis (Make/Buy Decisions, Total Cost of Ownership, etc), and cross‑functional collaboration. This role will serve as a key team‑member for complex sourcing & supply chain initiatives for New Product and Complex redesign development.
Drive strategic sourcing alignment and supplier engagement from concept through production release.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Commodity Management, & Operations to resolve roadblocks and accelerate decision‑making
Facilitate supplier design reviews, technical discussions and development milestones.
Develop processes and best practices to streamline and accelerate supplier engagement during new product development.
Proactively assess supply chain risks (technical, geopolitical, financial) and implement agile mitigation strategies to meet product requirements.
Serve as the sourcing leader and main point of contact within the product development team.
Assist Sourcing and Commodity Management leadership in negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and long‑term supply agreements.
Required Skills and Experience- BS/BA in Supply Chain Management or Equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, & Outlook)
- Strong knowledge of MRP Systems, MS Project (or similar project management software).
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering prints and drawings
- Ability to perform in a matrixed organization
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality systems, product lifecycle management, and supplier audits.
- Strong financial acumen including cost modeling and scenario planning expertise.
- Prior experience in justifying Capital Expenditures is a plus.
- APICS/ASCM Certification or other related purchasing certification
