Whether you want to work at one of our facilities as the site leader’s right hand helping to make business decisions or at headquarters on a larger finance team, this role offers the opportunity to work with budgets of various sizes and complexities while collaborating with others. The Finance Cost and Productivity Leader will provide dedicated focus to improving GE9X cost for new and aftermarket engines, partnering with multiple operations teams to achieve business targets.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work and influence cross‑functionally, independently perform analytics that result in actionable insights, and have an in‑depth knowledge of different types of cost and how they are influenced.
- Create, maintain, and improve the process for long‑term forecasting of new engine cost; support FP&A processes from an engine cost perspective and work with Tech & Ops and CES FP&A to ensure alignment.
- Own the CMC Nozzle scrap allocation process, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Independently perform analytics to identify opportunities and risks; find new ways to view data and use findings to drive action.
- Run analytics to compare 9X to other programs to gain insight and ensure reasonableness.
- Influence and drive all cost pools in the product line, including non‑engine costs where applicable.
- Partner with operations to support financial fleet model updates for Services cost, perform analytics, assess risk, and make recommendations.
- Lead a team to better connect engineering investment to returns and advocate for investments that best achieve near‑ and long‑term goals.
- Lead business case valuation for strategic cost actions.
- Ensure consistency in cost reporting, evaluation, definitions and overall processes across GEA.
- Partner with operations to ensure top projects are properly valued; perform post‑completion validation and drive holistic improvement based on findings.
- Potential to expand into shop visit cost support when EIS approaches.
- Potential for inventory and P&E support for cost‑related drivers and improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum six years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Prior experience with manufacturing cost accounting and reporting preferred.
- Ability to partner with operating leaders and influence cross‑functionally.
- Resourceful – ability to build relationships across the organization to get things done.
- Open‑minded and embraces change and challenges.
- Perform role with a mindset for continuous improvement using lean methodologies.
- Analytical, organized, curious, and strong communication skills.
