Responsibilities
  • Performs daily payroll operations.
  • Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Verify and monitor various with holdings, ensuring timely deductions as well as payment to each appropriate payee each month.
  • Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates confirmed reports.
  • Processes transfer of payroll to ADP EV6.
  • For payroll check errors, must be able to determine appropriate tax and other calculations for revise gross earnings, and issue replacement check.
  • Serve as contact for payroll questions and requests.
  • Stays current on the payroll processing system and payroll reporting requirements.
  • Works with payroll application technical support to troubleshoot problems.
  • Understands proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
  • Process correct manual check and garnishment calculations and compliance.
  • Supports time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
  • Processes accurate and timely year-end reporting as necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.)
  • Loads import files received from HR.
  • Researches and emails appropriate audience of file issues.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience:

    Desired

    Qualifications:

    - Associates degree in business and/or a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in payroll. CPP preferred.
  • Special

    Skills:

    UKG (Kronos) , E-time or similar timekeeping experience, preferred Payroll processing knowledge with ADP, preferably EV6. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to function in a team environment by working with, and cooperating with others. Experience with multi-state payroll. Working knowledge of federal and state regulations.
