Stylist – Ulta Beauty

The Stylist engages guests, consults on hair care needs, recommends products and services, and delivers high‑quality professional services focusing on the guest’s total look.

• Perform hair services including design, cuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing (where applicable).
• Meet or exceed an average weekly sales goal of $800, support store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Demonstrate business acumen, understand growth opportunities, and perform product demonstrations to drive sales.
• Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives for an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay knowledgeable of industry trends, products, and services and communicate ingredients and benefits to guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.

• Develop guest relationships, consult, and recommend retail and service services.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold salon image standards.
• Serve all guests, including walk‑ins, in a timely manner.
• Partner with skin therapists and retail team for a total store experience.
• Share benefits of the guest loyalty program, Ulta Beauty app, and credit.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for continuous professional development.
• Follow policies, procedures, and standards; comply with safety, sanitation, and infection control.
• Utilize booking and clientele systems to schedule guests and events.
• Communicate supply needs and maintain operational standards for salon, salesfloor, restrooms, backroom, break area.
• Adhere to dress code and loss prevention best practices.

• Cosmetology license.
• Previous salon experience preferred.
• Proficiency with latest salon techniques and equipment.
• Ability to recommend and sell pro hair care and makeup products.
• Strong communication skills; independent and team player.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Frequent mobility during shift.
• Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Continuous and/or frequent coordination and manipulation of objects.

Pay range: $11.00 – $16.30 per hour or service pay for the workweek per Ulta’s Services Compensation Plan. Eligible associates may earn overtime, tips, and benefits. Full‑time positions qualify for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part‑time positions qualify for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
