EHR Support Generalist

The EHR Support Generalist collaborates with internal teams—HR, Clinic Operations, Patient Access, Finance—to support the Next Gen EHR platform, monitor daily issue resolution, assist with tickets, and help the Next Gen Analyst with projects.
User Administration/Support- Respond to end‑user inquiries, issues, and requests related to Next Gen applications.
- Provide timely technical support via tickets, emails, and phone calls.
- Collaborate with users to understand needs and offer solutions and guidance.
- Participate in end‑user training sessions on workflows and best practices.
- Assist in creation of new Next Gen user accounts and setup.
- Assist the Next Gen Analyst with projects dealing with the EHR system.
- Provide after‑hours support (rotation) as needed based on severity.
- Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 support for Next Gen related items.
- Resolve technical issues related to Next Gen functionality.
- Investigate and analyze system errors and recommend corrective actions to the Next Gen Analyst.
- Perform routine system audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to testing activities during system upgrades or enhancements.
- Work extensively with the Next Gen Analyst on anomalies or outstanding issues affecting user performance.

Education/
Experience:
Minimum of an associate’s degree or 2 years of related IT experience with the Next Gen EHR system.
Must have Next Gen EPM experience.
Technical skills: Troubleshoot technical issues, maintain proper time management, deliver high‑quality support.
Next Gen Certified Professional (NCP) preferred but not required.
Physical DemandsRegularly lift or move up to 25 lbs; stand, walk, use hands to reach, handle, or feel; occasional sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specified vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentModerate noise level; occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; risk of radiation and toxic chemicals.
