Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking an Epic Build Analyst to join our product organization. This is a hands‑on build role: you will build, test, and support the Epic configuration behind our remote patient monitoring (RPM) line of business and our virtual nursing platform.

Our product and clinical leadership own the design and Epic strategy. Your job is to turn that direction into clean, well‑tested, well‑documented build, and to keep our client builds running well.

Inpatient Epic experience matters most to us, and an inpatient‑facing certification is a strong advantage.

You will join a small product team and report to the SVP of Clinical Informatics & Transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, test, and deploy Epic configuration supporting our RPM line of business, including integration of RPM data into Epic clinical workflows.
  • Build the Epic‑side configuration for our virtual nursing and virtual sitting platform as capabilities move from concept into production.
  • Support and maintain existing client Epic builds, including troubleshooting, upgrades, testing, and optimization.
  • Work from defined build specifications, and flag build issues and Epic constraints early to product and clinical leadership.
  • Develop and maintain technical and workflow documentation, configuration settings, and end‑user training materials.
  • Partner with health system Epic analysts and participate in customer change control and governance processes as needed.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular validation and quality assurance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data security standards.
Qualifications Required
  • At least one active Epic certification.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Epic build experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building and testing Epic configuration end to end, not only supporting existing configuration.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards, HIPAA regulations, and data security.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a queue of build work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with clinical, product, and engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare informatics, IT, or a related field.

A note on certification:
At present, we are not accepting candidates without at least one active Epic certification. We are glad to help you earn new certifications and maintain and renew the ones you have, but you need at least one today.

Strongly preferred
  • Active certification in an inpatient‑facing Epic application, such as Epic Care Inpatient Clin Doc, Epic Care Inpatient Orders, or ADT/Grand Central.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with inpatient clinical experience.

Additional certifications that are a plus

We do not expect any one candidate to hold every certification listed above. Beyond the one active certification we require, breadth across Epic and a willingness to certify in new applications matter more to us than any specific credential, and we will support you in earning additional certifications in this role.

Preferred experience
  • Prior work on a product or vendor side of healthcare technology, not only within a health system.
  • Experience with virtual nursing, virtual care, or remote patient monitoring programs.
  • Experience with Epic interface and integration work, including HL7 and FHIR.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Support for professional development, new Epic certifications, and certification renewals.
  • A small team where your build goes straight into clinical use.
  • A collaborative, mission‑driven environment focused on improving healthcare outcomes.
Location and Travel
  • This role is open to remote candidates and to candidates who would like to work from our Cleveland, Ohio office.
  • Remote team members are required to spend up to one week per quarter in Cleveland.
  • Occasional travel to client sites or conferences may also be required.

Nexus is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
