Description

United Performance Metal's rapidly growing Advanced Solutions center is looking to add a Machine Operator to their 2nd shift Milling Center team. Supported by O’Neal Industries with 100 years of expertise, this opening will provide you the opportunity to learn what it takes to distribute specialty metals across the globe. FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt

Starting Wage: $21 - $23, depending on experience

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm

Location:
Hamilton, OH, On-site

As a Machine Operator, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on customer manufacturing specifications to create machine programming
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate machinery such as EDMs, mills, grinders, or VTLs according to strict tolerances.
  • Examine and measure completed units, identifying defects and ensuring adherence to specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors
  • Exercise strong problem-solving ability for the inspection and repair of machinery
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience for Success:

  • 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools, and machines
  • Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers, etc.
  • Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches
  • Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining
  • Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments
  • Ability to train on 1st shift preferred.
