AFC Industries is an organization dedicated to providing supply chain management solutions for fasteners and assembly components to original equipment manufacturers and assembly plants. Our experienced team has a proven record of helping manufacturers reduce cost, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
Responsibilities- Perform Fit, Form, and Function inspections on incoming parts using calipers, micrometers, and thread ring gauges.
- Ensure incoming parts are properly identified and match order documentation.
- Review receiving labels for accuracy before placing parts in inventory locations.
- Identify incoming RMA items and alert the quality department upon receipt.
- Review incoming material certificates and notify the quality department and purchasing of any missing documentation.
- Assist the quality department and shipping with dock audits when necessary.
- Assist the warehouse with cycle counts or inventory location when necessary.
- Assist with identification, containment, and segregation of nonconforming material.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience- One to two years of experience in a quality assurance role, with experience using gauges, testing equipment, and inspection techniques.
- 1+ year experience in production, warehouse, or quality settings.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items.
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges.
- Basic visual familiarity with coatings (e.g., Yellow Zinc, Black Zinc Oxide) is preferred.
