Staffing Coordinator – Carespring Health Care Management

Join to apply for the Staffing Coordinator role at Carespring Health Care Management. The Full Time Staffing Coordinator assists the nursing department with scheduling and staffing for the nursing care units. Performs duties and provides a direct line of communication with the DON regarding staffing, census, employee attendance and behavior problems. Works closely with the Retention Hiring Coordinator on open schedules, upcoming needs to always be recruiting as an integral part of staffing.

Can be an RN, LPN or STNA.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manages the nursing schedule and daily flow sheets to promote proper balance of the schedule.
  • Formulates biweekly schedule with nursing leadership guidance, taking into consideration vacations, requested days off, birthdays and personal days for each employee. Maintains a Holiday, On-call and MDS schedule.
  • Receives call offs during the working hours and directs them to nursing leadership as needed.
  • Receives and completes personal request forms, birthday, vacation and leaves of absences; change of status, change of data are filled out by employee and noted for scheduling by staffing coordinator.
  • Assists new nursing personnel as directed by the DON for computer orientation as needed.
  • Attends staff meetings monthly and professional nursing and departmental staff meeting on a PRN basis.
  • Assists with the onboarding and hiring as needed.
  • Monitors the required 12 hours continuing education for completion and computer documentation thereof.
Qualifications
  • Requires licensure in the state the facility is located.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in the area of confrontation management.
  • Must establish strong organizational skills to provide consistency and fairness with maintaining company policy.
