The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.
What You Will Do- You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer
- You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure; if not already a licensed CDL holder
- You will perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing
- You will perform snow and ice operations

Qualifications Highway Maintenance Worker 1Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement and without airbrake restriction within six (6) months of permanent hire date.
Highway Technician 1Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; & ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary; & 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement and without airbrake restriction.
Supplemental Information- This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.
- All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period.
