About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Hammersmith and Fulham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with both the teaching staff and students, providing vital support in the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to make a positive impact on the education and development of young learners in a diverse and dynamic community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
  • Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
  • Assist with the preparation and setting up of classroom resources and activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Help to maintain a well‑organised, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support students in their personal and social development, promoting inclusion and positive behavior.
  • Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions.
Key Requirements
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience working with children, either in a school or other educational setting, is beneficial but not essential.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
  • A willingness to undertake further professional development.
Desirable
  • A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, or other learning needs.
  • An up‑to‑date DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
