We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team in Hammersmith and Fulham. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with both the teaching staff and students, providing vital support in the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to make a positive impact on the education and development of young learners in a diverse and dynamic community.
Key Responsibilities- Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Provide targeted 1:1 or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- Encourage and motivate students to actively engage in their learning.
- Assist with the preparation and setting up of classroom resources and activities.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
- Help to maintain a well‑organised, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support students in their personal and social development, promoting inclusion and positive behavior.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions.
- A genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience working with children, either in a school or other educational setting, is beneficial but not essential.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with children.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
- A willingness to undertake further professional development.
- A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Experience supporting children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, or other learning needs.
- An up‑to‑date DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
