Staff Accountant

• Assist with the month-end closing process, including preparation of journal entries, general ledger account analysis and variance analysis
• Reconcile assigned accounts monthly with a focus of clearing reconciling items in a timely manner
• Prepare operational plan‑to‑actual analysis and year over year analysis, as directed.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to existing processes and internal controls
• Prepare monthly reports and supporting schedules for inclusion in Management’s monthly operations package
• Review monthly working fund activity and reconcile activity to the bank account and general ledger
• Assist with the accounting, Plan, forecast and reporting for international joint ventures and one minority owned domestic joint venture
• Assist the Accounting Manager in preparation of Year End Standards
• Participate in physical inventory of fixed assets, including capital assets and capitalized tooling
• Perform additional tasks, financial analysis and ad‑hoc projects as needed to support the Accounting Manager for TEOC, Bearing and Seals locations as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1‑3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge and familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, CMA/CPA is a plus
• Proficiency in SAP is strongly preferred. Other ERP experience considered
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross‑functionally to achieve intended results
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
• Must possess the ability to analyze financial data and provide recommendations to facilitate growth and profitability for the organization
• Willing to travel – up to 15%
