GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Reports to the Director of Athletics and will work with the Director to devise a competition schedule each year and strategize on game selection
- Recruit and retain students for the eSports program
- Collaborate with other on-campus departments
- Initiate and run practice, competition, and team building activities
- Oversee and manage program budget
- Provide guidance and input on games selected for varsity and non-varsity competition
- Offer regular feedback on equipment upgrades, updates, and maintenance
- Coordinate off season activity, practice schedules, and competition schedules
- Organize team travel when required
- Conduct camps, clinics, and promotional events to help market the program to potential students and donors
- Monitor and mentor the academic and mental wellbeing of players
- Review agreements, contract deadlines, rules, and compliance within any associated league, conference, and affiliates
- Ensure all persons and functions of the program exemplify the character and mission of the school
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
- Ability to work with a diverse community of students, faculty, and administrators
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity
- Strong relationship building skills
- Personnel are recommended annually by the building principal and approved by the Superintendent. Compensation will be determined by the School City of Hammond agreement
- Performance of the job will be evaluated annually
