CAD Technician - Hammond

Position is entry-level, supporting design and drafting activities in the Hammond, IN office.

• Prepare technical drawings, including piping layouts, general arrangements, and diagrams, under senior staff supervision.
• Update and modify drawings to reflect project changes.
• Ensure drawings comply with company and client standards.

• Maintain organized project files and documentation.
• Transcribe field data and notes into CAD systems accurately.
• Assist in preparing deliverables for project submittals.

• Work closely with designers and engineers to meet drafting and project requirements.
• Communicate effectively with teammates to clarify drafting needs and resolve issues.

• High School Diploma or GED required; enrollment in or completion of a technical trade program is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a post‑offer drug and alcohol test (including marijuana) and be subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment.

• Familiarity with drafting practices in industrial or utility projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
