DescriptionReports: Director of Special Education & Support Services
Location: District-Wide
Evaluated by: Director of Special Education & Support Services
Evaluation Period: Annual
PurposeThe Occupational Therapist leads the development, implementation, and coordination of the occupational therapy program. Responsibilities include screening, evaluation, educational planning, transition planning, therapeutic intervention, and exit planning for students with disabilities affecting daily activities or occupations.
Education and Experience- Master’s degree in occupational therapy
- Valid State Certification as per Indiana PLA
- School OT services and evaluation experience preferred
- Provide occupational therapy interventions based on IEP/ISP goals
- Participate in IEP case conferences
- Monitor student progress
- Conduct evaluations as needed
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate therapy into classroom activities
- Communicate regularly with parents
- Develop solutions based on research and professional judgment
- Refer to community resources as needed
- Complete required documentation timely and organized

Terms of Employment185 days. Salary and benefits based on experience and qualifications.
Physical DemandsRegular standing, walking, sitting; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lifting up to 40 lbs.; vision requirements include close, distance, and depth perception.
