CDL Driver Recruiter

United Transport is hiring a CDL Driver Recruiter to support growth in Hammond, IN through lead generation, candidate engagement, and ongoing driver communication. This in-person role focuses on educating prospects about the company, managing the lead pipeline, and building relationships that result in hires, while also supporting driver retention through consistent engagement. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable company policies across key operational areas.

• Proactively source active and passive CDL Driver candidates, using methods such as employee referrals, walk-in applicants, rehires, networking, internal databases, and research tactics.
• Engage with the industry and prospects across online platforms to generate qualified leads.
• Manage and process all new leads through the recruitment workflow.
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospects to cultivate interest and move candidates toward hire.
• Assist with driver retention by supporting engagement and communication with drivers.
• Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures, with particular focus on Operations

  , Maintenance
  , and Payroll

• Education: High School Diploma with some secondary education or experience in business, accounting, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong communication skills.
• Execution: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

• Previous trucking or logistics experience.
• Previous CDL driving experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT rules and regulations is a plus.
