Overview

Stryker is seeking a UX/UI Designer to help define, design, and document user experience and interface elements across web and mobile products. You’ll translate product and user needs into intuitive flows, scalable UI patterns, and well-documented design system assets—working closely with engineering and a broad set of partners.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive end-to-end UX/UI product design: user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI for web and mobile
  • Define and document user-interface behavior (navigation, notifications, alerts, icons, and more)
  • Build and evolve design systems (components, tokens, documentation, versioning) in close partnership with engineering
  • Advocate for the end user and collaborate with industrial design, human factors, marketing, clinical, and software engineering teams
  • Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from early concepts through launch
  • Work independently at times to document, implement, troubleshoot, and ensure deliverables meet high standards
Must-have qualifications
  • 5+ years of end-to-end UX/UI product design experience (with a portfolio showcasing your work)
  • 3+ years building and maintaining design systems (components, tokens, documentation, versioning), ideally across multiple products or teams
  • 1+ year using AI tools in design or development workflows, including understanding how AI agents consume design system assets (e.g., Figma MCP server, tokens, structured documentation)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic/Visual Design, or a related field or equivalent professional experience
Nice-to-have
  • 2+ years designing for healthcare, clinical, or regulated environments
  • 2+ years with complex, data-dense enterprise applications or alerting/workflow tools
  • 2+ years collaborating with front-end frameworks/tools (React, Angular, Storybook)
  • 1+ year supporting design system governance or contribution models
  • 3+ years applying accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher) in shipped products
  • Medical industry experience
