Jupiter Aluminum is an aluminum mill located in Hammond, IN. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Material Handler positions.

• Stage, move, load, and unload unfinished and finished products and raw materials in a safe and efficient manner
• Stock and maintain inventory
• Perform safety checks on equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklifts and/or other mobile equipment
• Maintain daily logs and production reports
• Assist Operators as needed
• Perform other duties as directed

• May need to lift raw materials, finished products, and scrap, manually or using hoists, forklifts or other mobile equipment.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• May be required to work rotating shifts of up to 12 hours.
• May be required to travel between buildings.
• Will ensure the work area is clean and safety standards are followed inside and outside.
• Responsible for meeting Jupiter’s product quality standards.
• Must be able to pass criminal and drug background screenings.
• Ideal candidates will have an HS diploma, or GED, as well as some forklift experience.

Jupiter Aluminum operates three plants, including the Hammond, IN location on 25 acres of 600,000+ square feet. Operations include melting, casting, cold rolling, annealing, tension leveling, and finishing. More than 90% of raw material is aluminum scrap from street‑collected and industrial sources.
