Heat Assistant

General Summary

The Assistant Electrical HTT Technician assists in performing Electrical Heat Treatment to achieve desired hardening or softening of materials. This role supports heat treatment jobs on various components in refining, petrochemical, power, and construction sectors, ranging from small to medium electrical projects.

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company and legal safety standards.
• Assist senior technicians with project work and heat treatment duties.
• Set up and complete heat treatment jobs, including job walks with certified technicians.
• Interface with clients and coworkers; ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
• Support account and operations managers with quoting and scheduling projects.
• Assist with equipment set‑up, tear‑down, routine and preventive maintenance, calibrations, and overall equipment upkeep.
• Assist technicians in project execution and daily tasks related to industrial maintenance services.
• Maintain proper documentation and reports of services provided.
• Learn and follow heat‑treat procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Heat treat experience preferred.
• Ability to travel as required.

Position is based at a branch or site location. Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment, including interaction with crew, supervisors, and client personnel. Work may involve exposure to extreme noise levels and requires wearing safety equipment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Must be able to walk and climb; travel to more than one job site and tolerate climate changes.
• Good speech and hearing for effective communication.
• Adequate vision and manual dexterity for routine office duties.
• Capability to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment, including ladder and stairwell use.
• Maintain focus and multitask effectively.
