• Clean mechanical parts and components.
• Disassemble and assemble components.
• Remove, assist with rebuild, and install components from equipment and engines.
• Use Caterpillar rebuildable guideline information to make sound judgment decisions in reuse of components.
• Load/unload components, parts and equipment.
• Transport components, parts, and equipment as directed around the facility.
• Locate and use service manuals and technical information.
• Accurately prepare service reports as required.
  
  Communicate details of technical problems to supervisors.
• Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems.
• Use safe working practices.

• Two years of hands‑on mechanical repair work with diesel or gasoline engines, or earthmoving or industrial equipment.
• Graduation from an accredited technical school with emphasis on diesel engine or earthmoving repair may substitute for experience.

• Use parts ordering system.
• Initiate parts salvage requests.
• Use service publications.
• Use Service Information System (SIS).
• Use Parts Reusability Guides.
• Maintain personal time cards.
• Maintain inspection, quality, and service reports.
• Perform other related tasks and activities as directed.

Pay Rate: $25.29 per hour.

This position works in a shop/warehouse environment. The role may involve walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs on a continuous basis and may require wearing appropriate safety equipment such as safety glasses or side shields. Noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate to high. The employee may intermittently sit at a desk for answering the telephone and writing or using a keyboard to communicate via email.
