Senior Software Engineer

At AMC Networks, Microsoft Azure isn't a buzzword on a slide, it's Tuesday, and we need a Senior Software Engineer who feels the same way. This is $87,000 - $125,000 for 5 years of Node.js, a contract schedule, and a senior stake in where AMC Networks heads next.

• Pull AMC Networks's Express.js stack out of the IN region before the migration deadline
• Defend AMC Networks uptime through the 2 a.m. Hammond pages nobody volunteers for
• Wrangle Django config across environments so Hammond staging mirrors production
• Decide when to buy Mentoring versus build it for AMC Networks's Hammond, IN stack
• Prototype proof-of-concept solutions for emerging technology requirements
• Pull Express.js telemetry into dashboards AMC Networks leaders actually open
• Translate fuzzy product wishes from AMC Networks stakeholders into shippable Django services
• Build the Node.js tooling that makes every other Hammond engineer faster

• A teammate's instinct to unblock others before yourself
• Proven Docker results, ideally seasoned in Hammond, IN
• The kind of reliability that earns you the hard assignments
• A Hammond network, or the hustle to build one from scratch
• 6 years that taught you which corners can be cut
• Clarity of thought that shows up in tidy documentation
• Eagerness to take ownership and run with new responsibilities

You can trace a lot of IN's technology momentum back to a relentlessly curious little team called AMC Networks in Hammond. Our IN team treats transparency as a feature, sharing the messy middle, not just the wins.
