Ferretti Search is delighted to partner with a growing manufacturing company to locate their next Staff Accountant.

• Location: Hammond, LA
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

What will your day look like?

• Cost Accounting: Track and analyze production costs, material variances, and inventory transactions.
• General Ledger Management: Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare financial reports and provide insights on variances, trends, and key performance indicators.
• Process Improvement: Support initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve cost visibility.
• Collaboration: Work closely with operations, purchasing, and plant personnel to ensure accurate costing and reporting.

Who are you?

• Experienced Accountant: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• Cost Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of standard cost systems, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost drivers.
• Detail-Oriented: You’re accurate, organized, and proactive about solving discrepancies before they become problems.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with ERP systems and Excel to analyze and report data.
• Team Player: Able to communicate clearly with both financial and operational teams.
