Location:

Hammond, LA.
Job Type: Full-time.
Salary: $16–$18 per hour.

Experience and qualifications required: customer-service or office‑administration background, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills. Valid driver’s license and successful background check required.

Job Overview

ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company (ELOS), is seeking a full‑time Administrative Assistant to support operations within our Hammond office. The role involves maintaining smooth and efficient office operations through a wide range of clerical tasks, excellent verbal and written communication, and a reliable, hardworking approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Making phone calls
  • Taking and distributing messages
  • Assisting with business development tasks
  • Assisting with bids and proposals preparation and research
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments
  • Organizing and coordinating meetings
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail
  • Maintaining filing systems
  • Compiling records of office activities
  • Photocopying, scanning, and faxing
  • Sending emails
  • Preparing and sending outgoing mailings and packages
  • Typing documents and correspondence
  • Checking and entering data
  • Updating and maintaining databases
  • Coordinating work flow
  • Monitoring and ordering inventory of office supplies
  • Keeping office area neat and tidy, periodic cleaning
  • Running office errands
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred 1 year of customer service experience
  • Preferred 1 year of office administrative experience
  • Proficient in email communication, internet usage, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good numeracy skills and accurate keyboard skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Organizational and planning skills
