Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is recruiting a Security Guard.

IPSC is recruiting professional security officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team in and around the Hammond area.

Licensed Security Guard
Pay Rate: $12-15/hr. Paid every week.

Schedule:

• Must have open availability.
• 1st and 2nd shift available.
• Preferred candidates have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and are at least 25 years of age.
• Must be available to work all shifts plus weekends.
• Full-time and part-time positions available. Retirees welcome.

Prior law enforcement, military and/or 1 year of security experience is a plus; however, training and uniform will be provided to the right candidate.

• Perform both regular and random patrols of multiple premises.
• Report any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences.
• When necessary, perform control procedures.
• Operate emergency equipment.
• Document nightly operations and file weekly reports.
• Investigate breaches of property.

• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Sound communication skills.
• Professional presentation.
• Ability to work as a team member and solo.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible roster, 7 days a week.
• Reliable transport.
• Active cellphone.
• 21 years of age.
• Clean criminal background.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform routine foot patrols.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and quickly in emergencies.
• Ability to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle in the course of duties if required.
• Ability to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting background noise.
• Ability to walk, run, stand, climb, and sit.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• Good mental health and ability to make instant decisions during emergencies.
• Must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed to perform Security Guard / Officer work. Must be able to obtain the license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
