Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Metro Building Services is looking for a highly qualified HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our growing Hammond, LA Service Team!

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration and cooling system issues, including electrical and mechanical failures.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Test and calibrate system components such as compressors, evaporators, and condensers.
• Work with controls, thermostats, and automated cooling system technology.

• 3-5 years of experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing complex refrigeration systems and equipment in a commercial/industrial setting.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems is a plus.
• Universal Refrigerant Certification.
• Chiller and cooler experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Clean and valid driving license and record required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
