The Blood Center is now interviewing for full-time drivers. Candidates must have at least one year of experience driving a bus 35 feet or larger, have a good driving record and a Louisiana CDL driver's license with airbrake certification. Must also be able to work flexible days and hours. Excellent customer service skills are required. Candidates will drive vehicles safely to and from blood drive locations, assist with loading and unloading equipment and supplies and should be willing to learn medical screening.
The Blood Center pays a competitive starting wage and full benefits package including paid holidays, health, dental and life insurance on date of hire, paid time off after six months and an employer contributed retirement plan.

POSITION TITLE:Driver/Medical Screener
DIVISION/DEPT:Donor Services (Hammond)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Designated Manager
DATE NEEDED:Immediately
PRIMARY FUNCTION:Represent TBC in a professional manner, abiding by all policies and procedures, drive buses to and from mobile drive sites, set up and tear down of drive sites, assist in smooth and efficient donor flow and determine donor acceptability.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Valid CDL driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience driving large vehicles
- Excellent customer relations and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Working knowledge of word processing
- Good aptitude for knowing how to expedite donor flow
- Knowledge and understanding of donor screening requirements
