Position: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) (Part-Time)

Summary

An essential role in the delivery of residential and outpatient treatment services. Direct care position with a primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Assists in the clinical and administrative teams to identify and serve client needs.

Shift

1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm – 32 hours per week (usually includes one weekend day).

Pay

Base rate: $16.00/hour. 1st shift differential: $1.00 for Saturday and Sunday. 2nd shift differential: $1.00 Monday‑Friday; $1.50 Saturday‑Sunday. 3rd shift differential: $2.00 Monday‑Sunday.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist with intake process with new clients into program.
  • Communicate with staff verbally or in written communication logs, responsible for detail client logs.
  • Coordinate activities including lectures, recreation, and meetings.
  • Conduct mandatory bed checks and complete bed‑check sheet for shift reporting.
  • Attend shift change, team meetings, and company meetings.
  • Assisting with interventions with clients.
  • Follow objectives of treatment plans.
  • Monitor medication line.
  • Transport clients to meetings and recreation.
  • Conduct searches of clients when they return to the facility.
  • Train new staff on unit, program, and milieu.
  • Help with upkeep of facility.
  • Assist clients with obtaining a sponsor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Licensure, Education, & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid – preferred.
