A-Level Tutor

Support Students Preparing for Their Next Steps

We’re looking for an experienced A-Level Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to learners across Hampshire.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll support young people who require alternative educational provision, helping them progress in their chosen subjects while building confidence, independence, and academic resilience. Many learners benefit from a tailored approach that allows them to learn at their own pace and work towards their long-term educational goals.

We’re interested in hearing from tutors with expertise in any A-Level subject area.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
  • Strong knowledge of one or more A-Level subjects
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience teaching at A-Level
  • Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire
Who You’ll Support

You’ll work with young people who may have:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety and school avoidance
  • EHCPs and additional educational needs
  • Gaps in learning due to disrupted education

Your role will be to help learners develop subject knowledge, improve confidence, and achieve meaningful educational outcomes.
