We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract role with a well-established consultancy in Hampshire. This opportunity is outside IR35, offering a competitive rate of £40 per hour and the chance to work on a variety of local authority projects.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Mechanical design for building services projects, including heating, ventilation, and public health systems
✔️ Ensuring designs comply with local authority regulations and industry standards
✔️

Experience with Legionella risk assessments and mitigation strategies
✔️ Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
✔️ Site visits and surveys as required

Requirements:

✅ Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the building services sector
✅ Strong knowledge of Legionella compliance and water hygiene regulations
✅ Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Hevacomp, Revit MEP beneficial)
✅ Experience working on public sector / local authority projects preferred
✅ Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively
