Are you an Electro-Mechanical Technician or Electronics Assembly professional looking for your next step? A well-established engineering business based in Hook is looking to add an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to its growing production team.
This role would suit someone with hands-on experience in electronics assembly who enjoys working with both electrical and mechanical components in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
The Role
As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will support the build and assembly of complex products, working to drawings, work instructions and quality standards. The role is predominantly hands-on, combining electrical assembly with light mechanical build and documentation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Electro-mechanical assembly of components and sub-assemblies
- Soldering, crimping and cable assembly to IPC or equivalent standards
- Assembly of mechanical parts including housings, brackets and fixtures
- Working from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and build instructions
- Updating and maintaining build documentation and records
- Identifying and reporting faults or build issues
- Supporting continuous improvement within the assembly process
- Ensuring all work meets quality, safety and production standards
- Proven experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly
- Confident soldering and crimping skills
- Good understanding of electronic components and systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, reliable and organised approach to work
- Salary £30,000 £ 35,000 depending on experience
