Dermatology Outpatient Nurse

Temporary 12-week post supporting weekend in sourcing clinics across Hampshire, helping NHS Trusts reduce waiting lists. Duties centre on preparing clinics and procedure trolleys, taking observations and assisting consultants during consultations and procedures. Shifts run 08:00 to 18:00 at weekends, and candidates must already work in an NHS dermatology service. NMC registration and proven NHS dermatology outpatient and surgical experience are essential.

• Prepare and set up clinics, treatment rooms, equipment, instruments and procedure trolleys
• Ensure all necessary equipment is available for clinics
• Assist consultants and clinicians during consultations and procedures
• Conduct patient observations and assessments where appropriate
• Support the safe and efficient delivery of patient care
• Provide patient education and treatment advice where appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure clinics run safely and efficiently to clinical standards and patient safety requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification

• Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practise

• Currently working in an NHS dermatology service, with supervision and leadership
• Recent hands‑on experience supporting patients in dermatology outpatient clinics
• At least 6 months of this work in the past 12 months
• Proven experience in an NHS dermatology outpatient setting
• Proven experience in an NHS dermatology surgical setting

• Excellent patient assessment, communication and organisational skills
