Relief Head Chef – Mobile Role (Hampshire)

Temporary (6 weeks initially) – start date 05.01.26

08:00 – 14:00

£18.00 – £21.00 per hour

• Lead kitchen operations across different educational sites, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Prepare and deliver high‑quality, nutritious meals tailored to educational settings.
• Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen staff effectively.
• Maintain allergen awareness and adhere to dietary requirements.
• Uphold health & safety and safeguarding standards at all times.

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a similar environment.
• Experience in cooking for children and understanding of school meal standards.
• Enhanced DBS with Child Workforce, dated within the last 12 months (or willingness to renew).
• Own transport and full UK driving licence – essential due to mobility between schools.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum).
• Strong knowledge of allergen management and HACCP.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different kitchens and teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Previous experience in education catering.
• Knowledge of special diets and nutritional standards for schools.

• Temporary contract (minimum 6 weeks).
• Competitive pay (£18-£21 per hour).
