Position: Warehouse Operative - 2 positions available
Location:

Fordingbridge

Salary: £23,809.50 pa

Hours:

12-month maternity cover contract: 8.00am-16.30pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch;

Permanent full-time position: 10.00am – 18.30pm with 1 hour for lunch

Working with our Client who is a well-established global distributor, we are now looking for 2 x Warehouse Operatives to work within their packing department. First role is a 12-month maternity cover contract and the second role is a full-time permanent position with the hours stated as above.

TO BE A CONSIDERATION FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE AND HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT OR LIVE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE.

Requirements of the Warehouse Operative:

* Be able to work the hours stated.

* Be physically fit – a lot of manual handling, standing for a long period of time and walking involved.

* Have excellent timekeeping and be reliable.

* Be computer literate.

* Be able to multitask.

* Be numerate.

* Have excellent communication skills.

* Have excellent attention to detail.

* Be flexible to suit the business needs.

* Be a strong team player.

* Be highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines when under pressure.

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative:

* Picking of stock with a high level of accuracy

* Inspection of customer orders to ensure “Right first time”.

* Packing of customer orders to strict cut off times

* Releasing of orders to couriers

* Undertake cycle counts and stock takes as required.

* Maintain the safe handling, storage, and identification of goods in accordance with relevant procedures.

* Follow standard work instructions and maintain company procedures and follow all HS&E regulations.

* Any other Stores duties as requested by the Supervisor/Line Manager
