Overview

The Product Manager is passionate about helping our members achieve their fitness, health and wellness goals. The Product Manager is charged with leading high performing cross-functional project teams, focusing on achieving aggressive growth goals for member acquisition, engagement, and retention. This is a hybrid role based out of our Hampton, NH office or our future Boston, MA office.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the product development process from end to end: opportunity identification, feature prioritization, requirements gathering, design, development and launch of new features
  • Partner closely with UX and Technology across all phases of product development
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their needs, their journeys, and their pain points. Manage research and testing, e.g. surveys, concept testing, clickstream data, and A/B testing. Transform insights into opportunity hypotheses and product requirements
  • Be a champion of the MVP philosophy, distilling the product down to what is desirable, viable and feasible
  • Work with stakeholders to surface feedback and opportunities. Manage the intake process for feedback and requests. Evaluate opportunities and develop business cases
  • Collaborate with strategy to decide on KPIs for new features. Forecast, measure, and monitor business metrics and KPIs. A/B test and track impact on acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and nearly all parts of the company to ensure our digital products are launched successfully
  • Create efficiencies and speed to market in the product development process, working closely with other product managers, product marketers, tech leads, and designers
  • Communicate status across the organization to ensure alignment, transparency and visibility of development timelines, risks, and future plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, marketing, or a related field, required
  • 1–3 years of experience in product management, and 5+ years of total work experience. Other product development or product marketing experience also valuable, particularly with demonstrated product ownership
  • Demonstrated passion for building products and services that customers will love
  • Working knowledge of agile development methodologies and how highly scaled digital/mobile products come together
  • Familiarity with agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Advanced Roadmaps, a plus
  • Strong technical intuition. Technical background, a plus
  • Familiarity with web and app development tech stack, a plus
  • Understanding of digital fitness trends, and subscription based economic models, a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit; must have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, creative problem-solving and initiative. Experience in an intra-preneurial role a plus
  • Strong initiative, bias for action, and reflexive sense of ownership. Highly self-motivated and independent
  • Excellent collaboration skills and stakeholder management skills including managing up to executive leadership
  • Extremely detail-oriented, efficient, and organized with an exceptional ability to establish priorities and objectives, including managing aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to persuasively communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, including internal and external stakeholders, agency partners, and cross-functional partners
  • Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence without formal authority at all levels of the organization
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
