Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 USD Annually
DescriptionAnalytical Services & Materials, Inc. is seeking to hire a Government Contracts Billing Specialist to support our team.
Compensation decisions are based upon a range of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs.
Responsibilities- Execution of the full billing cycle to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing and collections.
- Revenue recognition and reconciliation.
- Support of contract setup, modification entry, and contract maintenance.
- Coordinate with Contracts and Project Management to establish new contracts and task orders in DELTEK, ensuring alignment with compliance, billing and reporting requirements.
- Work with project managers to ensure the accurate and timely submission of invoices.
- Review Job Cost Reports for accuracy.
- Follow established procedures regarding billing and contract maintenance.
- Identify and research invoicing issues such as short paid invoices, and provide resolution, as appropriate.
- Assist in managing collection of customer invoices, including contacting customers to resolve delays in processing payment.
- Reconcile receivables and ensure correct application of cash receipts.
- Receive training aimed at supporting the accounting team with month end activities, audits, and other general accounting duties as assigned during downtime between billing cycles.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- At least 2 years of Government Contract Billings experience.
- Experience in billings on different types of government contracts, such as Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fee (CPFF or CPAF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
- Experience with Deltek Systems preferred.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to receive instruction and meet deadlines.
- Ability to successfully pass background check and drug testing.
