Position: Government Contract Billing Specialist

Type:
Full Time, Hourly, Onsite (potential for telework opportunities)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 USD Annually

Description

Analytical Services & Materials, Inc. is seeking to hire a Government Contracts Billing Specialist to support our team.

Compensation decisions are based upon a range of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Execution of the full billing cycle to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing and collections.
  • Revenue recognition and reconciliation.
  • Support of contract setup, modification entry, and contract maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Contracts and Project Management to establish new contracts and task orders in DELTEK, ensuring alignment with compliance, billing and reporting requirements.
  • Work with project managers to ensure the accurate and timely submission of invoices.
  • Review Job Cost Reports for accuracy.
  • Follow established procedures regarding billing and contract maintenance.
  • Identify and research invoicing issues such as short paid invoices, and provide resolution, as appropriate.
  • Assist in managing collection of customer invoices, including contacting customers to resolve delays in processing payment.
  • Reconcile receivables and ensure correct application of cash receipts.
  • Receive training aimed at supporting the accounting team with month end activities, audits, and other general accounting duties as assigned during downtime between billing cycles.
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • At least 2 years of Government Contract Billings experience.
  • Experience in billings on different types of government contracts, such as Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fee (CPFF or CPAF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
  • Experience with Deltek Systems preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to receive instruction and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to successfully pass background check and drug testing.
