The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the site, including subcontractors, programme, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all on‑site construction activities from start to completion
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure works are delivered to programme, budget, and quality expectations
- Maintain a strong site safety culture and ensure compliance with OH&S requirements
- Conduct site meetings, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Monitor progress and report regularly to the Project Manager
- Manage site documentation, inspections, and defect rectification
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on retail or commercial projects (ideally $3M–$10M range).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and Australian Standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple trades and resolve issues on site
- White Card and relevant trade or construction qualifications
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and programme delivery
