• Monitors student behavior in the cafeteria according to school policies and procedures (refers behavior issues to the teacher or principal according to school guidelines).
• Circulates throughout the cafeteria assisting students with the flow of meal service, opening packages/milk cartons, cleaning up minor spills, recycling/trash, etc.
• Lines students up at scheduled times to return to the classroom.
• Encourages good table manners.
• Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Able to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
• Physically able to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Functional skills in reading and writing English.
• Ability to use good judgment and be dependable.
