The Assistant Director/Internship and Co-Op Coordinator supports Hampton University students in identifying, securing, and successfully completing internship and cooperative education opportunities. The position serves as a primary resource for students, employers, faculty, and academic departments regarding experiential learning and career readiness.
Examples of Duties- Coordinate and support the University’s internship and cooperative education processes, including reviewing student internship documentation and ensuring required information is complete.
- Advise students regarding internship and co-op opportunities, career exploration, professional development, and experiential learning.
- Conduct individual and group resume reviews, mock interviews, career coaching, and career readiness workshops.
- Assist Career Center leadership with departmental initiatives, assessment, reporting, special projects and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’sdegree in career development, counseling, higher education, psychology, human resources, education, business, or a related field.
