Land Surveyor; Highway Construction Project

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services ().

We are currently looking for a Land Surveyor to join our team for a highway expansion project in Hampton, Virginia.

- Location:

Hampton, Virginia

-Project: Highway Expansion Project

-Estimated duration of the position: 8 months.

In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

- Summary:

The Land Surveyor will provide technical surveying support across all phases of the project, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all measurements and layout activities.

-Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining horizontal and vertical control points.
• Performing topographic surveys, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
• Executing staking and setting out for earthworks, utilities, roadworks, and structural elements.
• Collecting, processing, and validating field data with surveying software.
• Preparing surveying reports, sketches, and documentation for project records.
• Collaborating with engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensuring all surveying activities follow safety protocols and industry standards.

-Requirements:

• Degree in Land Surveying or related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of survey instruments (Total Station, GPS, levels, scanners).

- Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly
