AFSIM Analyst at MANTECH

Location:

Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, VA.
On-site position.

• Conduct short and long-term analytical studies using qualitative, spreadsheet, and computer simulation-based analyses.
• Lead development of analysis plans for trade-off studies of Air Force combat aircraft and weapon requirements, modernization, and new acquisitions.
• Create and maintain input data for computer simulations including AFSIM, Brawler Air Combat Simulation, CFAM, WEAPS, JMEM, JWS.
• Run simulations and analyze output data, verify and validate results, adjust inputs to align with actual or expected results.
• Present analysis findings in written documents and verbal briefings for Air Force decision makers.
• Attend local and remote meetings as a subject matter expert on air combat analysis.
• Complete required computer-based and in-person training.

• Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in analysis and modeling of modern combat aircraft and other airborne systems.
• 1+ year of experience using AFSIM to conduct mission analysis.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and modifying AFSIM code to address specific analysis questions.

• Current Top Secret Clearance.
• Experience with AFSIM or Brawler Air Combat Simulation.
• Experience in Air Combat (preferably Air-to-Air), fighter aircraft weapons systems, and weapons employment.
• Experience developing study plans including background, purpose, scope/limitations, assumptions, effectiveness measures, parameters, methodology, data requirements, and schedule.
• Programming experience in C/C++, Fortran, R, Python, MATLAB, SQL and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

• US Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
