Product Engineer

Job Summary

As a Product Engineer you will be responsible for all dimensional characteristics and tooling pertaining to the investment casting process and our products. This may involve both new development and production castings. In this role you will be teamed up with a Process Engineer who will be responsible for the metallurgical aspects of the process. The prime responsibility is to engineer the highest yield and lowest overall cost product while meeting or exceeding all customer-defined quality requirements.

You will work in a team environment with other engineers and the manufacturing team, requiring strong communication skills.

• Follow Howmet’s Safety Regulations
• Oversee manufacturing tooling design, construction, and implementation.
• Optimize dimensional and core-related yields at minimum manufacturing cost.
• Create manufacturing routing and processing instructions.
• Develop and debug processes for production and developmental castings.
• Actively pursue continuous improvement of existing processes.
• Provide technical support to customers and interact with them regarding technical concerns.
• Comply with all company attendance policies and guidelines, including regular attendance and occasional overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or a non-engineering degree with equivalent work-related experience.

Reads, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures; writes reports, business correspondence, and procedures; presents information and responds to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Applies mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Solves practical problems in variable situations; interprets instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form;

demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communicates effectively at all organizational levels and is self‑motivated to drive improvement.

Technical manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Typical manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or equivalent work experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility required; visa sponsorship not available.
• Access to export-controlled items is required; employment offers are conditioned on lawful access.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Investment casting experience.
• Proficiency in Solid Works and NX CAD.
• Minitab/statistics knowledge and strong Excel capabilities.
