Position: Engineering Technician with Security Clearance
Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill an Engineering Technician - Secret position that just opened in Canonsburg, PA. In this role, you will support engineering activities involving design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, test equipment, and experimental design circuitry. To be considered, you will have High School diploma plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire Responsibilities The Engineering Technician will support engineering activities involving design, testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, test equipment, and experimental design circuitry. Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or electromechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
* Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment and components
* Perform calibration and alignment checks
* Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions
* Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust a variety of tools/equipment based on drawings and instructions
* Implement basic practical solutions to support process improvements
* Conduct and document experiments under the guidance of senior technicians
* Build basic tooling and fixtures to support unique tasks
* Organize and analyze data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend improvements

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent, including vocational training
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
* Ability to acquire job-specific skills and follow established procedures
* Ability to fabricate simple hardware
* General computer and test equipment proficiency May require:
* 1st Class FCC License
* Solder Repair Certification Clearance Requirements:
* Department of Defense active Secret security clearance is required.
* Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
