Description

The Paramedic will utilize their knowledge and proficiency of evidence-based medical practice and International SOS protocols to manage unexpected and emergent situations and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses promptly and professionally. The Paramedic will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct and indirect medical care to patients in emergent situations and function as a member of the team to provide patient-centered care in the pre-hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 24/7/365 emergent EMS response on site.
  • Deliver pre-hospital paramedicine support to patients within the site, outside the site, and during transfer to local higher levels of care.
  • Conduct ambulance operations, EMS response, and support the medical team within the clinic.
  • Assist medical providers with procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope.
  • Assess and document patient vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, and prescribed medications.
  • Report all changes in patient condition to the medical provider.
  • Independently administer basic paramedic-level care within standing orders and SOPs without exceeding licensed scope.
  • Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living as needed.
  • Provide education to support responsible health decisions.
  • Maintain and replenish Area of Responsibility (AOR) supply inventory.
  • Restock EMS units and assist other clinic operators with restocking.
  • Cross-train to work within clinics, emergency rooms, and inpatient units.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of paramedic experience in a busy 911 system.
  • Experience in a remote setting and prior military or fire experience preferred.
  • Hold a current unrestricted US license as a Paramedic.
  • Possession of a Paramedic Level Certification (NRP) from the National Registry (NREMT).
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification; TCCC or Pre-Hospital Trauma Course and Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral English; ability to communicate with diverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; proficient IT and electronic medical records experience.
  • Ability to function accurately and efficiently in high-pressure or emergent situations; respond calmly; culturally sensitive; work independently; lead supporting staff; adapt quickly to changing conditions.
Passport Requirement

A valid US passport is required and must be in possession before deployment. Applicants must have at least 18 months left on their passport before renewal and maintain it during their stay.

Travel / Rotation Requirements

Some travel may be required.

Benefits

Compensation: up to $85,000 annually.

Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and annual bonus. We comply with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws.
