The Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the County's compensation plans, structures, and related business processes. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations, conducts market analysis, and provides strategic recommendations to support the County’s compensation philosophy. The analyst will collaborate with department leaders and external partners to ensure the effectiveness and competitiveness of the County's compensation programs.
** Compensation Plan & Structure Management:
*** Maintain and administer the County’s compensation structure, including job classifications, pay grades, and salary ranges.
* Evaluate and update compensation plans to align with industry best practices, legal requirements, and County objectives.
* Conduct market analysis to benchmark salaries and recommend adjustments to ensure competitiveness.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures related to compensation management.
** Workday Compensation Administration:
*** Manage and configure compensation structures and business processes in Workday.
* Partner with HRIS and IT teams to optimize Workday compensation modules and troubleshoot system issues.
* Support recurring compensation projects, including longevity bonus payments, salary adjustments, and Step Progressions.
* Generate reports and dashboards within Workday to provide compensation insights and data analytics.
** Analysis & Compliance:
*** Conduct salary surveys, job evaluations, and internal equity analyses.
* Ensure compliance with FLSA, pay equity laws, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
* Prepare compensation reports and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.
* Assist in audits and provide recommendations for process improvements.
** Collaboration & Support:
*** Advise HR business partners, managers, and employees on compensation policies and practices.
* Support hiring managers in determining appropriate salary offers for new hires and promotions.
* Provide training and guidance on Workday compensation functionalities to HR staff.### ##

* Required:
*** Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Four (4) years of experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation, and salary administration.
* Experience managing compensation structures and business processes in Workday.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
* Knowledge of compensation regulations, including FLSA and pay equity laws.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
** Preferred:
*** Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or working towards certification.
* Experience in public sector compensation management.
Compensation Range: $59,532.64 - $95,171.86
