GovCIO is hiring an IT Project Manager for our Zero Trust integration effort with the U.S. Air Force. This full‑time, on‑site position is located in Hampton, VA.

As an IT Project Manager at GovCIO, you will lead Zero Trust enterprise integration efforts in support of Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC/A2) at Joint Base Langley‑Eustis. You’ll provide leadership on IT hardware and software projects throughout all phases of the system development life cycle, including initiating, planning, executing, and closing projects with minimal supervision.

• Translate business requirements into actionable tasks, ensuring proposed solutions meet customer needs and achieve acceptance.
• Manage multiple IT projects concurrently within a deadline‑driven environment while fostering strong client relationships and negotiating Service Level Agreements.
• Utilize PMI project management certifications and best‑practice methodologies to ensure project success.

High school diploma with 6–9 years of experience (or commensurate experience).

Clearance Required:

TS/SCI.

• Comprehensive understanding of IT project management roles, with the ability to develop solutions for medium complexity technical challenges.
• Understanding of data center environments and equipment, and ability to communicate effectively with IT professionals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel, with a track record of creating and maintaining project management standards and documentation.
• Experience delivering presentations and briefings related to project progress to clients and management.

• Active PMP Certification
• Experience working with the DoD Intelligence Community
• Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR and JWICS Networks
• Background in technical writing, capable of producing project plans, functional requirements, and detailed schedules.
• Experience with Zero Trust Fundamentals

The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
