Forklift Operator

The Raw Forklift Operator of Hampton Farms is involved in the manufacture of food products intended for the consumer. The operation and operator provide a critical step in Hampton Farms food quality and safety for producing our peanut product. Being a producer of peanut products, the raw peanut dump operator is aware of risk involved with regard to proper sanitation procedures, receiving procedures, forklift/trailer operation procedures, peanut inventory and rotation, and following production schedules for correct dumping of peanuts.

The raw peanut dump operator is trained in various areas pertaining to the job required.

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move pallets and materials throughout the facility.
• Stage pallets in designated areas to support production and shipping schedules.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are handled carefully and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory by scanning pallets in and out of Net Suite.
• Assist with cycle counts and other inventory control activities.
• Verify pallet counts and product information to ensure accuracy.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate effectively with production, shipping, and inventory control teams.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience using ERP systems (Net Suite preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer and scanning skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, and operating equipment.
• Ability to work in varying temperature environments as required by production areas.
