RN Traveler PCU​/Stepdown Intermediate Care

Sentara Care Plex Hospital located in Hampton, Virginia is hiring a Traveler for a Temporary Full Time Registered Nurse on the Intermediate Care / Stepdown Unit.

$70/hour

This 24‑bed unit cares for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit and provide care for respiratory‑compromised patients on BiPAP, high‑flow, and/or chronic long‑term ventilators. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusions and monitor patients bedside. It includes patients with DKA, CHF, pneumonia, and more.

Education
:
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Diploma in Nursing field required.

Certification/Licensure
:
Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Experience
:
Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.

This position includes assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overseeing overall patient care. Teamwork and collaboration are essential.
