Clinical Nurse Manager (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Stepdown)

Sentara Care Plex Hospital is hiring a Manager for the Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit. The Manager will supervise and manage a 24‑hour operation.

• Responsible and accountable for daily operations of the unit.
• Provide coverage and mentor or assist staff as needed.
• Interview, hire, and develop team members to build a highly effective work team.
• Engage in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.

• Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
• RN‑Bachelor’s Degree or RN‑Master’s Degree.
• 1 year of formal management experience.
• 3 years of acute care experience (including unit coordinator or team lead positions).
• Unit Coordinator, Team Lead, or similar position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal management experience.
