EducationAssociates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
Certification / LicensureVirginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
ExperienceMust have 2 or more years of recent Med/Surg hospital RN experience.
About the UnitSentara Care Plex Hospital is seeking motivated, compassionate, and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our fast‑paced Inpatient Surgical Unit, primarily serving the Care Plex postoperative patient population. Our unit experiences a quick turnover of patients and provides care for patients with complex needs across a wide range of surgical specialties, including:
- Vascular
- Neurosurgery
- General Surgery
In this role, you will work closely with surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional postoperative care. In addition to postoperative care, we occasionally provide care to patients with general medical needs.

CompensationWe provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full‑time employment is $51.02 – $85.03. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
